I don’t have a recipe for this month’s Recipe ReDux. As it happens I’ll be walking the Camino de Santiago when this is published.
The theme is Culinary Recollections and since I’ve shared several of my Mom’s dessert recipes I thought I do a little round up. My mother preferred things like snack cakes, quick breads and dropped cookies.
Apple Snack Cake was a fall favorite.
Rangers are my favorite cookie, and are always part of the Christmas lineup. They’re chewy, nutty and loaded with coconut.
Mom loved the flavor of Crazy Cake or Depression cake. It was her go to chocolate fix.
Pineapple Bread Pudding made it’s way onto our Thanksgiving table one year and has remained a staple. I added the hard sauce after sampling it at a Southern style restaurant.
